Language of Venus - What women say and what they really mean...
Just something I came across which I think all guys might need~
"Fine": This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks. This will cause you to have one of "those" arguments.
"Five minutes": If she is getting dressed, this means half an hour. It could also mean an hour if she is doing something more important. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade. Don't complain...
"Nothing" : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with "Nothing" usually end in "Fine".
"Go Ahead" : This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but since it is a non-verbal statement it is often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh could mean she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing there and arguing with you about "Nothing".
Soft Sigh: Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sigh" means that she is content. Your best bet is not to move or breathe, and she will stay content.
"That’s Okay" : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. "That’s Okay" means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with "Go Ahead". At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.
"Please Do." : This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay".
"Thanks" : A woman is thanking you. Do not question or faint. Just say you’re welcome and stop right there.
"THANKS A LOT": This is much different than "Thanks". A woman will say "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh" as she will only tell you "Nothing".
"Whatever" : This is a woman’s way of saying F*** YOU!
"Don’t worry about it, I got it" or "Forget it" : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, “What’s wrong?” To which she will reply "Nothing"
“Do you really want to go to that restaurant/movie/dinner party?” : She doesn’t want to go, but she doesn’t want to appear stubborn either. She is probably hoping you’ll sense her hesitation and come up with an alternate plan that pleases her.
“I feel like our relationship is stuck in a routine right now.”: She wants you to be more romantic and spontaneous, and surprise her more. Pay more attention to her needs. You don’t need to change your personality entirely, but it wouldn’t kill you to surprise her every once in a while. Call her out of the blue and tell her you’re taking her for dinner, go on a spontaneous weekend away, or just surprise her with her favorite chocolates.
“A man was flirting with me all night.”: What she really means is "Does it make you jealous?" She wants you to know that she’s a hot commodity and that other men are interested in her. She wants you to appreciate what you have. Try not to respond to it in a way she’ll expect, like by getting angry or jealous. Instead, pay her a compliment — she’s definitely fishing for it. Don’t get all insane with jealousy; just let her know what she means to you, or else she’ll be playing this card every so often to set you straight.
